Handweaving is a traditional skill that's worth preserving. It takes a lot longer, but the expert skill and artisanship required makes each cloth unique, and endlessly more special. This is about more than the clothes you wear, it's about the story, and honouring the craftsmanship in each of our Fair Trade makers' touch.
Supporting handweaving provides vital work to rural communities where the electrical supply may be less reliable, as hand looms aren't dependent on electricity for operation. And this also makes handwoven fabric one of the greener choices.

Handweaving is a traditional artisan craft that we actively seek to preserve: for the beauty of the cloth, the uniqueness of the results, and to provide steady skilled and fairly paid work to more creatives around the world. Above, you can see this season's checked fabric being made, or if you'd like to see this in your wardrobe, and wear a garment whose story you know from the warp and weft up, you can find it in our Taya dress, Romilly skirt and Nadia shirt.
