My journey began at Palais Tinmel, a hidden gem nestled within the city's ancient district. The allure of this enchanting sanctuary was immediate, with its promise of saltwater pools, colorful serenity, and the whispers of adventure lingering in every corner.
Stepping into Palais Tinmel was like entering a world where time slowed to a gentle rhythm. The ten rooms, each adorned with a patio and a cozy seating area, welcomed me with open arms. Some offered vistas of verdant gardens, while others boasted spacious decorations hinting at untold tales. The bathrooms exuded a sense of indulgence, complete with amenities that pampered the soul. |

Exploring Marrakech's Medina is like stepping into a vibrant maze of culture and tradition. Amidst its bustling streets and lively markets, I found myself captivated by the sights, sounds, and scents of this ancient city. Every corner held the allure of hidden gems, from quaint cafes to ornate riads, and endless rug shops inviting me to wander and discover the essence of Marrakech's rich heritage. The Art of Hassan Hajjaj.
My wanderings led me to the captivating realm of Hassan Hajjaj's art and clothing shop, AndyWahloo -- which means "I have nothing." Exuberant portraits danced with life, capturing the essence of a land where tradition and modernity intertwine in a mesmerizing dance. From fashion to photography, each creation bore the indelible mark of Hajjaj's genius, inviting me to see the world through his kaleidoscopic lens. Here the welcoming shop keepers gave me a private tour of the upstairs showroom and even invited me to join at their home cooked sardine tagine. |

Beni Rugs.
Entering the world of Beni Rugs, co-founded by Tiberio Lobo-Navia, felt like stepping into a dream. With Tiberio as my personal guide, the experience became deeply personal, a journey into the heart and soul of Moroccan craftsmanship.
As he shared the intimate details of their process, from the painstaking selection of wool to the intricate weaving techniques, I felt a sense of awe and wonder wash over me. Running my hands over the soft fibers and intricate patterns, I couldn't help but feel a connection to the centuries-old traditions woven into each rug.

Riad Brummel Medinal.
My final stay was at the exquisite Riad Brummel Medinal (from Brummell Projects). Nestled within in the medina’s ancient alleys, this place is a sanctuary of timeless elegance and understated luxury. Its neoclassical Mauresque architecture and 19th-century charm transport guests to a world where tradition meets modernity in perfect harmony.
From the ornate central patio courtyard adorned with lush plants to the rooftop terrace boasting panoramic views ofthe city, every corner whispers tales of meticulous craftsmanship and artisanal mastery. Here, amidst the soothingsound of trickling water and the gentle breeze, guestsfind respite from the bustling streets of Marrakech. With bespoke furnishings, traditional hammam, and five unique rooms, Riad Brummell was not just accommodation, but a sanctuary for the soul.
